We recently received word that Sew Fitting owner, Cisa Barry, has been selected as one of the 2013 "20 Under 40." The News and Tribune is in its second year of recognizing individuals in Clark and Floyd counties under the age of 40 who have made a difference in their work and extracurricular activities.

Keep an eye out for the April edition of the N&T's Business Source of Southern Indiana Magazine for the feature!

A very important request to our friends and customers in our community:
Recently, a fire destroyed part of an apartment building where I live. Thankfully, my family and I are safe and unharmed, but there are a number of families who have lost everything. The blaze began so early that many didn't even have time to grab coats or shoes.

Sew Fitting will be taking up a collection of clothes, shoes, coats, gift cards and household goods to help those affected try to put the pieces back together. Many of the families in the burned building have children. If you or anyone you know would like to contribute, please bring them by or put them in the mail. Please help us spread the word so that we can help these families get their lives back to normal as soon as possible.

Update:
Thanks for those of you who have made donations so far to the victims of last week's fire! We've got a nice little collection of children's coats and women's clothing started. We will be accepting donations anytime between 9am and 6pm Monday through Friday here at Sew Fitting.

We also found out that the owner of The Opal Gypsys is another resident in our complex. She is currently working on gathering gift cards and furniture donations to help our neighbors set up their new homes.
